Possible life in Cairo

Good morning!

I am in negotiations with a large construction group, and if successful will relocate to Cairo.
I would loke to understand a bit more about life there, which may just help to make the right decision.
What neighbourhoods are best ?
Which gyms are there and where?
What about outdoor activities like canoeing, sailing?
Cultural interactions?
Learning the language?

Any bits of lifestyle info will be great,.
