Health Care (Tenerife)

Hi. My partner are hoping to move to Lanzarote. i think the one thing that is holding us back is the health care. Both of us have per-existing medical conditions. We have been advised that a private pension will be expensive - how do we go about getting the Spanish health insurance - and how do we utilize the Hospiten. Or would we be able to register with the state health system. How do we go about getting prescriptions.
We understand that to buy a property we need to move over to Lanzarote first and fill out forms etc.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
