moving 2 Canberra: need friends, flat and info

Dear all, just another xpat moving 2 Canberra in a couple of months or so. I'd love to meet new friends and sort out my housing probs ASAP. I am lookin 4 an unfurnished Protected content appartment. It must b quiet and I would like to go to work by foot. I work Deakan Protected content . I am very excited but have a few concerns. 4 example, is really Canberra that expensive 4 somebody coming from the euro area? And how bout moving around? I met ppl who told me it's impossible without a car, as there is only 1 bus per hour, they are expensive and they stop anyway after 7 pm. Then I heard ppl who told me that actually u can move around by foot or bike. I dont read IN often so if u want pl write me at Protected content
