Pets: quarentine and housing (Canberra)

Hello everyone!
My wife and I will be moving into Canberra by mid-January Protected content . She is a Brazilian diplomat and I teach International Relations. We have a Schnauser and would love to bring her with us but are a bit scared with the news about quarentine regulations and difficulty to find pet-friendly housing. Can anybody share personal info on any of theose subjects?
