Have not got a clue..... (Cape Town)

Hi All,

I have recently been asked to relocate my job to Cape Town and am 99% sure that I will be taking this oppotunity. My family and I (Wife & 2kids) are feverishly trying to research as much as possible on the web but as has been noted on many occasions, there is a vast array of opinion that makes it hard to get to the truth.

The 2 most important aspects of the relocation for us are home and school. Both underpinned by safety but goverened by a better lifestyle than is afforded in in England.

Can anyone please confirm if the Somerset West/Strand areas are a safe and good place to start our adventure? The area and school seem to tick most boxes but looking at this through a 16 inch window from 11k miles away is a somewhat restricted view.....
