MIT/Harvard Student project - Visit in Cape town (Cape Town)

I am part of a team of students from MIT and Harvard participating in the MIT 100K Business Plan Competitions for a project of water desalination using wave energy.

The "Wave Water" project (as it's titled) is investigating the feasibility of using simple and inexpensive (ocean) wave energy converters to desalinate seawater. The system can produce fresh water for dry coastal communities with good wave resources of which there are many on the African continent including in South Africa, Mauritania, Morocco etc.

Our team is gaining a lot of momentum, and we are in final for the MIT 100K business plan competition, but it is in South Africa that our progress is the most encouraging!

So encouraging that we are planning to come to South Africa for the MIT Global Startup Workshop that will be held in Cape Town on March Protected content and we are arranging meetings with the people already involved in our project.

However, we would like to use our trip to meet as many people as possible and we are targeting people who could advise us or may show an interest in our project.

If you know someone in your network that could be seriously interested I would really appreciate if you could put us in touch :)

Many thanks!

Olivier
