Rush Hour Traffic (Cape Town)
My family and I are moving to CPT in October and we are just beginning our house hunt now. After reading pretty much every blog on the internet and speaking with friends who have visited, we are planning on living on the Atlantic seaboard (ie. Sea Point, Green Point, de Waterkant) as of now.
However, I will be working North of the city just off the #1 about 10 minutes past Century City.
I was wondering if during rush hours the traffic is bad both ways and, if so, what times are particularly bad? I was hoping that living in the city and working outside, I would be going against the flow of traffic before and after work and my commute wouldn't be too far off Google Map's estimation of 25 minutes (although I suspect this is overly optimistic). Can anyone help me out with this?
