Visiting Charlotte - Do's and Don'ts

My husband and I are visiting Charlotte for the first time this weekend and we are planing to move maybe May/June.
Can anybody tell us what are the best sights and restaurants so we can really get a feel of the city? What sort of things one should do to absolutely feel in love with the place?
