Anybody based in Pollachi or Coimbatore? (Chennai)

Hi, just wondering if any of you good people are based in Pollachi or Coimbatore, as I will be moving there with my husband in a few months time. I'd love to know a bit more about the region as I've only visited it very briefly, although I'm happy to arrive there and discover things as I go along!
