Support for expat wives (Chennai)

My wife and I recently relocated to Chennai for my work. She's here on an x entry visa which doesn't allow her to work. Unless she's able to find work with a company that will help get her an employment visa, her options to occupy her time seem to be limited. She has studied in international business and worked and lived in Shanghai before our move to Chennai. She's French origin and can also speak fluently in Spanish. We want to find something that she can do to make the most out of her time living in India. Right now, we're struggling to find what options are available. She's open to volunteer work, employment, higher education, and just about anything that can offer her a sense of fulfillment and importance in making a contribution to something. Any tips, links, organizations, contacts, or people with similar challenges and experiences that can be shared would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
