Working in Sriperumbudur - Best places to live? (Chennai)

Hello,
My husband and I are living in Anna Nagar but we would like to move from our apartment because we have some problems with our current one. My husband's work is in Sriperumbudur and we are thinking to move closer to his work so he can expend less time in traffic. Right now he spends at least 1h30 every night coming back from work.
I would like to know which places can be good to live and closer to Sriperumbudur if possible. We like Anna Nagar because we have a lot of shops near and we would like to have a similar neighborhood if possible.
Please let me know your comments or tips that can help us in our research.
