What you hear, what you say ?? (Chicago)

Dear Internationalists,

A bit of advice if you may be so kind...
I am in Milwaukee for a course from the 1st to the 4th of August and then thought I would visit Chicago after for some RnR until the 7th. I have been looking at AirBnB and was wondering if there any opinions.. At the moment I am thinking of Pilsen or River North/old town. I prefer rough diamond to bling bling. If that helps. Any ideas appreciated !!
