An exciting opportunity with a rapidly expanding company, as they move their operation to new countries across Europe.

Reporting to the Head of Logistics and managing Drivers (crews), Transport office and Routing. As Transport Manager you will play an integral part in ensuring we deliver an efficient transport hub for our company wide operation. You will have overall responsibility for 24 / 7 transport department and the staff that support this including both Operations & Routing

You will provide day to day management and coaching of your team ensuring that the fleet is maximised and service levels are maintained. Managing the fleet in line with operators licensing regulations – which includes all servicing, defects and MOTs.

Our service defines us and you will be responsible for ensuring that each delivery is in line with our values and our service expectations. Liaising with drivers and crew leaders to monitor quality and overcome any direct challenges which may affect our delivery service.

You will fully manage driver contractor hours including both Trunking & HD drivers and ensure all contractors adhere to legislation and driving regulations. Management of driving hours infringements in line with operator responsibilities.

Drive high vehicle utilisation ensuring maximisation of fleet whilst ensuring vehicle VOR rate is below company set indicator. Liaise with authorities in line with operator licence requirements

You will be responsible for the maintaining & continuous improvement of business & contractor KPI’s including damage rates, delivery success, fuel usage, customer ETA’s and hold crew contactor performance reviews on a regular basis.

You will hold regular supplier & maintenance reviews, ensuring costs are in line with ensuring cost saving measures & innovation. Negotiate with suppliers for vehicle hire agreements and negotiate with temporary labour requirements & rates

As part of the Future Fleet Team you will ensure the correct specification of vehicle or trailers are acquired or sourced.
