At long last... (Colombo)

We will be arriving in Colombo on 21st of January. In my eagerness to plan this, I joined this forum many months ago. I used to get invites for forum events which I just deleted as it wasn't yet appropriate. I haven't had one in a while and wonder if anything is going on at the end of January/ beginning of February?

I am particularly curious about meeting people who might have children around the age of 3 for possible play dates, babysitter advice etc. We haven't decided on a place to live yet, but think will rent a holiday apartment in a place called Battarmulla for a couple of weeks and take it from there.
