Diabetes type 2 advice (Colombo)

If anyone of you is a type 2 diabetic, Sri Lanka has some fantastic foods that we can eat and not have a spike in our blood glucose levels.

For example all their green vegs are great.
Red stringhoppers with the coconut sambol is a lovely meal by itself.
Kurakan bread is another substitute for diabetics.
A good substitute for butter/ margarine is the canola "vitalite" spread available in Food City.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I, myself was a full blown diabetic on 5 oral meds per day. Today I am medication free (over 2 years now).
Finding the right type of food to eat was one of the things that helped me greatly achieve this.
