Shipping suitcase to Canada (Colombo)

Hi, my husband and I arrived 2 weeks ago and have a suitcase full of personal clothes and items that we brought with us that we realize we don't need. We would like to ship this suitcase back to Canada, it is ~30kg.

Does anyone have any information on how safe and reliable Sri Lanka Post is? We would be shipping from Weligama. Any recommendations on packaging?
