Transferring funds abroad (Colombo)

Looking for some experience and advise from you folks here. Moving shortly to SL, earning in USD and will need to transfer a fair chunk of that to an investment account abroad.

Is this easy? Difficult? Restricted?
Any good, efficient bank recommendations? (I use Standard Chartered here in HK but the money will not actually be sent to HK)
