Living in Benin with children (Cotonou)

Dear members,

I got an offer to come to Benin for three months starting in July Protected content I would like to accept it. But I am a bit concerned because I have a little daughter who will be 14 months old this summer. Does anybody have experience with that, i.e. is anyone of you currently living with children (toddlers) in Benin? Is it too risky concerning diseases e.g. Malaria etc. How do you take precaution? And what about child care? Is it easy to find a nanny?

I would be grateful for advice.
