going to Dar on April (Dar es Salaam)

Dear all,
I am a member of Spain Internations group, i'm volunteering in Malawi and going back home from Dar ok April, 18th. Don't know anything about the city, any info will be really apreciate: is a good idea to stay there only one night or more much better to go for few days? Could you recomend me nice (and cheap, please) places to sleep? How can i go to the airport? Has anybody any advice about what to do in Dar like 3 days?
