Position: Transcriber – Translators
Looking for efficient, reliable, and conscientious transcriber-translators for very long Kiswahili and English interviews used in social science research at KCMC. This large piece of research investigates psychological and cultural aspects of Tanzanians’ lives. The translation and transcription work will be conducted over a period of Protected content this academic year and will require substantial weekly hours.
•Good Knowledge of English and Swahili language
•Translation skills, professional reliability, good time management, and excellent communication skills.
•Experience in transcription/translation is preferable.
•Experience with social science research is welcome.
•Occasional meetings in Moshi and timely responses to emails are required.
The project may lead to other opportunities with research being conducted at KCMC with US universities.
