Moving to Dar Es salaam (Dar es Salaam)

Hello,
We are considering a move to Dar for a couple of years and I am trying to get some information on housing and schooling. What area of town should we look at to live? We have been living in the Middle East for 15 years and have accumulated quite a few things. Would it be better to ship these things back to our home country and buy items there or rent a furnished home/apartment? Our daughter is 9 years old and has been in an IB School. What school would you suggest for her? I read up on two schools.

What types of items would you recommend we bring with us. Any information would be most appreciated.
