Tips for safaris? (Dar es Salaam)

Hi there everyone!

I will be staying in the lovely Dar for three months while doing an internship. I was wondering if any of the more experienced expats here have any tips on how to go about booking a safari for the Southern Circuit of parks? Anybody have any recommendations of agencies that they particularly liked etc.? I'm looking to go on a safari of roughly Protected content if possible. And I would like to do a safari with the wildlife experience, so I would rather not stay in any lodges.
