Transportation and events (Dar es Salaam)

So friends,
I haven't been here long. But I admit I am hesitant to adventure too far out as I am not yet confident with the public transportation here mostly because I don't know where I'm going, language barrier and such...plus it's confusing lol. Therefore attending events and such I'm hesitant because of transportation. Plus as a woman traveling alone I'm extra cautious. Anybody in the mbezi beach area?
