Advice from Detroit please!

I have a friend who lives in Detroit and he is coming to see me in Dubai for Christmas. He is incredibly talented when it comes to selecting the perfect gifts and I, for want of a better word, SUCK!

This is what I know…
He is 36, supports the Detroit football team (the green one) he is a Mechanical Engineer, LOVES 2tone music and LOVES red wine!
Is there something local to his city that you think he would like?
I really want to knock his socks off with a well thought out gift and am in Desperate need of your help.
