About to move to Dhaka!

I am moving to Dhaka at the end of February. Although I am incredibly excited, I am obviously a little nervous having never lived outside the US for more than a few months.

With Christmas approaching, what gifts should I be asking for to ensure I am well supplied during my move and acclimation to Bangladesh? Any ideas would be great! Thanks all for your help.
