Any Germans moved to Qatar with kids? (Doha)

Hi,
I just came back from a job interview in Doha, so the chances getting the job shouldn't be that bad. The process started already in August so I had much time think about it. The biggest issue I/we have with moving to Qatar are our kids, in particular my daughter as she only started school this summer and so far she is not very happy about the thought moving to Qatar, to say the least.
Does anyone has experience with that situation? How did you handle it? It would initially only be for three years.
Would like to send our kids to the German International school. Any experiences on that?
Any recommended compound?
Any other tips/tricks/considerations/.... that would help making the decision - if I get the job offered - any easier.
