Aussie Family on the move! (Doha)

Hello Doha community! Me & my husband and twin daughters who are 6 are on the verge of moving to Doha. I have searched every internet site and feel overwhelmed with info on customs, schools, living & traffic! Living in Sydney means the traffic part doesn't scare me but I realise will still take some getting used to. Me & hubby are coming over for a short visit tomorrow where I hope to cram in a few school & community living tours. My main concern (or fear) is school placements as all I read about is up to 2yr waiting lists with preference to British passport holders (well I'm sort of British considering they sent the convicts down under and we had no choice!
