Banking (Doha)

Hi Everyone I will be moving to Doha on 30 April 14 and have to choice a bank for my salary to be paid into, any advice???.

My employer will be paying me in USD$, therefore I need to know which bank generally charge the lowest fees and provides the best transfer rate to QAR.

Debit / Visa card in QAR currency would be helpful, but not sure how this works if I'm paid in USD$. Does the bank just convert each monthly payment to QAR.

I've never worked abroad before so this is all new to me. Any advice would be much appreciate.

I've done some research and the Commercial Bank appear to be best, but not sure if the primary account should be in USD$ or QAR. I can open this account from UK and receive free transfer from airport plus phone/simm/free airport lounges which seems a good deal.
