best 4x4 for Dune bashing? (Doha)

Please could someone advise me on whats a decent make of 4x4 for serious dune bashing? I know adventure tours teach you how to do desert driving and I really want to do it. No way can I afford a new car but im looking in to secondhand ones so I want one that ages well... someone said a pajaro?
