Best mode of transportation in Doha?

I am choosing not to lease a car while in Doha. Its a motorbike popular in Doha? I will need to find transportation from Al-Sadd to English Modern School, daily? Just inquiring. I heard the bus system isn't the most reliable. Some people split a cab cost, so that's an option. Thanks Elisa
