HELP PLEASE - Early Lease Termination (Doha)

Hi All,

My company is relocating me to Muscat/Oman in March and i therefore have to cancel my housing lease early. In my contract there is nothing mentioned about early lease cancellation but when I signed, the property management company did say that a 2 month cancellation penalty charge may be required.

Does anyone know if i will need to pay this charge? Does Qatar Law cover this? If so, what does it say? I cannot find anything :-(.

I have informed the landlord that I am leaving and I have given him a letter from my employer confirming that they are relocating me. I am now waiting to here back from them.

If anyone has any advice it would be highly appreciated! Please respond on this forum or message me directly.
