Importing 2012 Subaru - Houston, TX, USA to Doha

Hello everyone. First time post. I've read many other threads and sites for info, but they usually lack specific detail. I have lived in Doha previously, but leased a Nissan X-Trail for US$850/month. I am returning to Doha on short notice (early Jan Protected content a tighter budget and am trying to figure out the best financial advantage of SHIPPING FROM USA vs LEASING/BUYING ONCE IN DOHA. Having lived there before w/ a higher salary, it was easy to just lease for a year (plus I had no payment back in the States). What I am looking for is:

1. Who values the vehicle upon import to assess the 5% import fee?
2. How much is registration?
3. How much is the average Comprehensive Insurance Plan for Vehicle & People together?
4. I'm awaiting info from Qatar Airways Cargo to get a quote (they ship via boat, too). Also, I'm seeking other companies operating out of the Port of Houston. Can anyone recommend a reputable shipping company in the USA?
