Internations Events during the week? (Doha)

Could anyone please tell me why events are during the week?
I wake up at 6am for work and I am usually very tired after a long day at work.
I spend weekends at home with nothing to do. As a single lady, I prefer not to go out for drinks all by myself.
It would be nice to have some events over weekends.
