Motorcycles & Driving Tours (Doha)

I keep reading about extreme traffic in Doha (both safety and gridlock). Do any members have motorcycle experience in Doha, with touring Qatar or taking long drives through nearby countries? Beyond the traffic, is it pleasurable to go for long driving tours (regardless of transport mode)? Or do folks tend to spend most of their time in Doha? Im concerned enough Im thinking of selling my touring bike prior to relocation. Any perspective is appreciated. Thanks!
