"Qatari National" - Budgeting, Reporting & CM (Doha)


One of our prestigious clients in Qatar are looking for a "Qatari National" - Budgeting, Reporting and Cash Management Supervisor to be based in there Qatar office.

Leads Management Accounting activities including Budgeting, Reporting and Cash Management applying local accounting policies in line with US corporate policies/requirements. This is a front line supervisory role tasked with helping the business unit grow and develop skills in all areas of Finance/Accounting while ensuring technical expertise and oversight is appropriately applied.

Reporting to : Finance Manager
 Oversee Budgeting and Reporting efforts, monthly costs reviews, cost reporting and cost/issue resolution
 Ensure all monthly reporting activities are complete, accurate, comprehensive and timely (NI, CF, BS and all variance analysis inclusive) for all regional companies under the purview of Doha, Finance.
 Monitor Accounts Payable process and related accounts, (advances, deposits, etc)
 Drive development of key SAP Finance skills
 Assists in internal and external audits and preparation of statutory tax returns as required
 Actively leads in On-The-Job training program with occasional offsite training as required for functional and personal development
 Lead/participate in special projects as required

 BA Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required; MBA, Big”4” accounting experience, Oil & Gas exposure and/or CPA/ACCA certification all preferred
 Working knowledge of Equity Accounting required
 Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP required
 Working knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise systems highly desired
 Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic language skills a plus
 Flexible – Able to prioritize/perform multiple tasks and adjust to conditions while meeting deadlines
 Good interpersonal skills and computer skills
 Proven analytical and accounting skills, well organized and detail oriented
 Desire to continue development of business acumen and lead others to do the same
 Ability to build and maintain relationships; relates effectively with diverse individuals and is a team player
 Constructively challenges status quo, indentifies areas/need for change and develops solutions for same
 Commitment that extends beyond a normal 8 hours/day, 5 days/week job is a must
 Ability to function and lead in a multi-cultural “Western” office setting utilizing an open office plan
