Tourist visa to Qatar (Doha)

Hello,
I am a US Citizen and I can go to Qatar without applying for a visa in advance. However, my husband is an Egyptian citizen and we are wondering how likely it is that a tourist visa will be approved? What kind of information is required? We are living in Turkey while waiting for his US green card to be approved.
