What to Relocate? (Doha)

Hello everyone.

I am Australian moving to Qatar early February Protected content . My wife and my 2 boys (6 and Protected content follow sometime in July. After some online research around life in Doha, I found that the most challenging task is to get my boys into an International School (currently leasing with ASD and QIS) so wish us luck.

However, some blogs suggests to ship as much as possible of our belongings to Doha (e.g. electronics because they are too expensive and not of a good quality, bikes because we will not find a good quality bikes, furniture quality is not that great, etc…). While I find this hard to believe, I appreciate your feedback and suggestions in regards what to relocate and what not.
