Internet contracts (Dominican Republic)

Hi!

I am in Santo Domingo until October of Protected content am trying to get one of those mobil 5g wifi devices - or really any kind of mobil internet - but am having a hard time getting one from either Claro or Orange because I don't have a Dominican cédula and won't be here for 18 months so can't sign up for an 18 month contract...I've talked to a few different people at both places and they all say it's impossible to get a shorter length contract, and the prepago options are very expensive plus super inconvenient because I would have to go to a store every day or week to do the recarga. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any luck getting services like this and if you have any suggestions???
