Moving to Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic)

Hello,
I'll be moving to Santo Domingo this July for six months. I'm not yet fluent in Spanish, and am looking for places or someone for Spanish lessons. I would also like to work expanding my experience in real estate, or gaining experience in sustainable building. Any ideas on either topic? I would appreciate them greatly. Oh, also the best places to play beach volleyball.
