Want to move to Dominican Republic

We live in Canada , would like to move to DR next yr and in future retire there.. is it easy ? we r not retiring age yet.. is it easy to find jobs there ? how much couple need to survive a month basic ? want to buy home in future.. Went to Puntacana , was amazing.. wish we cd have life like this every day...how much rent there ?can couple survive Protected content ? basics ? how visa works ? how expats live there ? where we start ? do we get visa from here ? or can get there ? i am new on this forum , love to make new friends.. thank you , gracias ..Sheena
