Urgent & Important - Baby birth registration (Dortmund)

I am an Indian and my husband is a german nationality and we went for our baby's birth registration and the person in charge refused to register saying she can't accept my documents from India and therefore she can't register. Can someone help us what is to be done?? Or what's the process?
