Accident without insurance (Dresden)

Dear All
I had car accident 4 weeks ago.
I had rented car from HERTZ with my credit card(Platin).
I thought, I have full casco via it and HERTZ clerk told me yeah it is Platin, it is O.K.
I was at fault and now DB is not going to pay and I do not have that much money to pay (14K ) !
I do not know what is going to happen and what should I do?!
I have tried to find a lawyer, He is not able to talk with me in English and He want to charge me for first meeting Protected content and after that Protected content at least.
I am not sure even if I pay Protected content to him what is going to happen?
I have car legal expenses, liability insurance and travel insurance!
Any Idea, any information, suggestion,...
