Careful when giving out contact details (Dubai)

Hi all,

Just a warning to people especially new people in Dubai to be wary of sharing contact details like phone numbers to 'recruitment agents'. Also on LinkedIn. I have had a few lately who have requested, usually when you check their website it is not working or it does not exist at all.
Sometimes these are also operations to mine for contact details for further 'cold calling' by certain 'Financial advisers' or 'wealth advisers'.

Certainly the success of Dubai has been built on the fact there is less regulation in the financial industry, so good to be wary of these pitfalls. I think its good to check that the people who advise you are qualified and regulated.
