Living and working in Dubai???

Hi everybody,
I'm a danish young woman considering a job offer in Dubai.
Coming from northern Europe I have no idea how it is living in that part of the world.
I would be very grateful if you would give a short comment of your experience. Do you feel safe? How is it living there with a different religious background? etc.
