Moving to Sharjah (Dubai)

Hi all!

I have just accepted a job offer in Sharjah and will be relocating end of the month/beginning of September.
My work will be in Sharjah and I am just trying to figure out where to start looking for apartments. What are nice areas in Sharjah to live in or would it be better to move somewhere closer to the border with Dubai and have a longer trip to work everyday?
Any advice would be highly appreciated!
