New Comer to Dubai

my name's Alexis, just moved from singapore to dubai few days ago.
i have found a place in Marina area, but to be honest i haven't really explored what are available around there. if any of you could give me some suggestions would be much appreciated. esp what to do on weekends..

also, im a big fan of Arts & Architectures, if anybody could share some ideas about where to go for a gallery or exhibition etc etc, would be fantastic.
