Photography tips in Sharjah/Dubai

Hi! I will be moving to Sharjah next month as my husband works there.

I love taking photos and I might be doing a lot of photography on my down time in Sharjah and Dubai. Which places do you recommend for me to go to? Is it okay to take portraits of strangers? In Vietnam, there's no problem taking photos of random people and I want to know if this is the same there.

I'd be very happy if you could throw some DOs and DONTs :-)
