Scottish/ Spanish expat (Dubai)

Hi all, I am relocating to Dubai within the next few weeks. I'm Scottish originally and live in Madrid. I am a member of the Istanbul group and my brother is one of the ambassadors for IN there.

My wife is Spanish and she is worried about the move (she'll come after summer with my daughter). Are there any "Spanish groups/get-togethers" that I could have her join?

Also, any comments on whether it's best to move downtown or to JBL/JBR etc.?
