Travelling to Dubai - recommendations and tips

Hi everyone,

I will be in Dubai next week for the first time and i will stay there 5 days
I will be there for work and I havent had the time to organize and prepare a visit of this city.

Anyone who could recommend me some nice places to go/ visit?
I would like to see a lit le bit of the town , discover architecture , historical places, malls ? but not museums. Any idea ?
