Visiting Dubai in December

A big hello to the wonderful people of InterNations - Dubai,

I am scheduled to come to Dubai for a few weeks in December for work and training. I will have two colleagues with me, but I like to venture out on my own and would love to interact with some local people from InterNations if possible, wine on me. :) Also, if you can recommend some places to eat and visit that would be great also. Lastly, if there I any InterNation events going on when I am there is there a usual time of the month they occur?
